He says he isn’t, but he knows his way around modular pretty well. The band he’s in, The Utopia Strong, are well worth checking out for psychedelic improvisation on synths, guitar and bagpipes! He’s written a book with Kavus Torabi (also in TUS) called Medical Grade Music which is a great read.
