There are plenty of back exercises that don’t stress your knees. Floor crunch, oblique floor crunch. Incredibly beneficial to the back. Anything you don’t use will become unusable very quickly. You probably know all this, but a decent physical therapist will have lots of good knee and shoulder stuff.
Oh nice!

Last of the OG members of Lynyrd Skynyrd has passed. I used to sing a cover of this with a band where the lead guitarist played the main solo perfectly with a slide glued to a rubber chicken which he held over the neck by its legs.
I have lots of fond memories of Lynard Skynard over many years. The end of an era.
I got that album when it came out.
The first time I ever heard this, it was the version that goes on for an hour… or so it seemed in the state I was in
I had never heard the original so the first time I heard it the band leader was trying to teach it to the rest of us so it actually did go on for hours. The song itself is crazy simple, just six chords, but getting three intermeshed guitar parts working without turning to mush at the end was the fun part.
And that last part of the song is just so much fun to play with all the stops and hammer ons.
I finally broke down and installed Spotify Lite on my phone.
And what have been listening to for the past week? - the “Tuareg Desert Blues” playlist.
Tuareg Desert Blues is often my jam!
Oh wow. Two lefties in a band!
