Thanks! It’s likely SyncStutter, but I’ll test with your patch as well.

@zakforrest Yes, I created both tracks for the demo using AI. I had posted to Reddit in hopes to get some non-AI music for the demo (and to help showcase an artist) but no luck. So I generated my own.

@jeremy The popping should be fixed now. The tone might be slightly different after some changes I made. I updated the SyncStutter to use granular synthesis and upped the shared granular synthesis engine from 16 to 32 grains, so some other effects might sound a bit different as well.

great work! so many possilities with this one

Another demo!

And also, in case you enjoy the AI generated hip hop, here are links to the raw versions:

if u need any non-ai music to test the effects bank out (some rap-adjacent stuff). i got a couple of tracks/beats ur free to use to demo it with !! lmk

I’d love that! Send it my way!! If you need my personal email, it’s clone45@gmail.com

Also, the ridiculousness of me posting AI generated hip hop as a white guy in his 50s should be… logged. The irony of making music with AI while also building tools for actual musicians is not lost on me. This community is amazing, and although I’m not an outstanding musician, I’m looking forward to releasing more tools for you. :man_bowing:

That’s understandable. I think there are a ton of musicians that would love to work in creating example songs to help demonstrate the module. Just sent a small beat/example to the email. Keep up the awesome work :D.

This hits too close to home

Here’s a new demo using compression effects that I recently added like… just a few minutes ago. How did I overlook compression!? I added 4 different compressor effects:

  • Typical compressor
  • Ducking compressor
  • Techno ducking compressor
  • Band configurable ducking compressor

super sick!!! funny idea would to have an OTT (over-the-top) styled multi-band upward/downward compressor effect effect similar to the preset in ableton’s multiband compressor Explained: OTT Compressor (And How To Use It)

I took your idea and ran with it, but it was a challenge to code up correctly. However, the module will shop with an OTT “inspired” effect called “Bloom”, which mixes a OTT compressor with a low-end booster. It’s quite interesting, but also not a perfect implementation.

sounds awesome!! Can’t wait to use it when it drops

@clone45 Hi Bret Sorry, can you make user manual for Groove Box Advanced in pdf please ? Yes i see that tehre is good manual at GitHub, but there is problem to save it as pdf from web browser because modules detail descriptions placed in separate pages. (Or there is some trick to auto convert it from Github idk)

Quick note before I forget. Some of these compressors turned out to be useless. I’ve narrowed the compressor offering to the “typical” compressor, as well as a clocked ducking compressor, which is more dependable than the other compressors for that “heavy techno kick” effect.
