Ha ha, thanks so much ! Glad you like the idea.

yes circuit bender had vocal duties but couldn’t quite sing one word for some reason

Grabbed Tracks today - love this idea, but Bret please please - add position input (for modulate start of playback position). Frankly initially (by image) i thought that “Position” hole this is exactly for input, but bummer lol.

First, sorry about the confusion about the Position jack’s purpose. I’ll try and remember to add the word OUT to it.

Secondly, can you talk through how you would envision a position input working?

It’s ok, thanks.

Position of playhead locator, for change his start playback position. I mean change\modulate this via extarnal voltage (from lfo etc). Or did the question mean something else?

@clone45 Sorry, I think I understood the question - you’re asking about the algorithm for how this type of modulation works.

Well, if there is (technically) difficulty in modulating after the start (which would look like a scratch lol, that’s not bad either, but ok), then it will work until the start signal is received.

Well, I was looking for more details on the playback position. For example, let’s say that you provide a 5.0 signal to the playback input. Does the input stay at the position indicated by the voltage? Or, does it change only if the voltage changes? Or would it need a separate trigger input? That type of thing.

Not the question asker, but literally voltage scaled to position so that 0v is start of sample 5v is midpoint and 10v the end of sample, updated per sample to send the playhead zooming around the sample by cv.

Hmm…yes you right. Here there is not so obvious thing. Well, in any case, I trust your decision on how it could work, ie i don’t have any specific preferences on this matter. But would like to be able to change the starting point lol (ie via modulators)

.

Yes thanks seems something like that (i noob)

No worries. One last question: Would you be using this to jump within parts of a longer sequence, such as 3 to 4 minutes? Or are you dealing with shorter sequences, like 2-3 seconds?

Hm…honestly, have no preferences regarding length either (implying to work with both cases).

Any Windows users want a very rough sneak peek at a new module? :clinking_beer_mugs:

This is going to be a commercial module. Details on it are subject to change, so I don’t want to make a lot of noise about it just yet. Expects a lot of bugs - It’s not polished.

Sorry, there’s no user manual. Hopefully the interface will be sufficiently intuitive. Minimum use: Inputs + Outputs + Clock.

well thats just badass now isn’t it

I got inspired by the bleed param and made this. I increased to 2% over 64 beats.

Wow, it sounds amazing. Top notch. Reminds me just a little bit of VNV Nation.
