Thank you for responding.
No, sadly it can’t do chords. I hadn’t even thought of that.
I’ll keep that idea on the backburner, because I might be able to pull it off by rotating the pitch of the newly created grains like an arpeggiator, which would give the illusion of chords without increasing the grain count and pump up the CPU usage. Interesting.
dude i would die if you could add chords somehow! would love to send it poly CV, even just 4 notes. even if some of the other features were drastically cut down when you enter poly mode or something. even some weird method of achieving illusion of poly could be pretty rad
but i guess several instances of the module would also work right?
i just noticed a large amount of voxglitch modules were ported to the 4ms META. Any chance we will see a 5ch WAV (poly) supported version of WavBank?
Hi Bret, in my most recent noodle I am using your Wav Bank module to play the voice samples for the vocoder.
It would be really nice if this module had an End of Sample trigger, it would be especially nice if it had a feature to automatically select the next wav file on end of sample.
I know there is the MC version, but that doesn’t have end of sample either, and I don’t need multi channel wav support…
What do you think?
Hi Dan!
I think it’s a wonderful idea. I added an End of Sample trigger to wavebank and submitted it to the library.
I may eventually add a “next wave sample” option, but didn’t take the time today to do it. Enjoy!!
Amazing, thank you
Shouldn’t the END port have a dark background signifying an output?
Oh fine. Ha ha ha. Yes, yes. I’m just lazy sometimes.
Ok, I’ve made the change, and it will get rolled out whenever the next update happens:
Hey Dan,
I had some extra time tonight, so I implemented your second request. In WavBank, there’s now a context menu option to auto-increment the selected sample once the current sample has completed playback. This happens only if there’s no cable attached to the WAV CV input.
I think it’s a great new feature for the module. Thanks for requesting it. I’ve submitted the change to the library.
Excellent, qq does it loop back to the start when the last sample ends or does it stay on the last one?
Pretty cool additions to the wavbank ![]()
Just one more question:
What happens when it reaches the last sample in a directory?
Will it stop or will it start over with the first sample again?
Imho a looping for a
ll the samples would be cool, if that is possible.
Had the same thought, that would be ideal, to have the directory loop to first file.
What happens when it reaches the last sample in a directory?
It will loop! ![]()
If anyone absolutely needs it NOT to loop, I can add an option for that.
I honestly have no idea. Someone else did the port!
I vaguely recall someone asking me if they could, but even if it were a rouge effort, that’s totally OK with me. One of the main reasons that I simplified my main collection’s front panels was for better compatibility, and I’m always happy to see them show up in interesting places.
Oh, EOC is a great thing to have with other modules as well! Like Autobreak and Groovebox (where it just triggers at the end of a sequence). Can we have it there too?
Maybe?
I have a pretty busy schedule for the next week until next week, but I’ll see what I can do!
