I really like the pad in this Adi
Thanks Paul!
This here is incredible, great work Adi!
Oh man… gorgeous piece Adi! Love those organ sounds, great stuff. Just in case you didn’t know - those XFX Wave’s are pretty heavy on the CPU, maybe that could explain your audio hickups…
Beautiful sounds & music !
@Eurikon , @LarsBjerregaard , and @dlphillips , thank you guys so much, and i really appreciate the encouragement! I feel blessed to have access to this wonderful software and a place to share my ideas & listen to you guys & others, and overall it’s just a really cool experience to be a part of this community that i’ve learned so much from musically & technically over the past year or so.
Lars, yeah this XFX Wave is a cpu beast, but it sure sounds good! On my computer, each iteration of this module usually hangs out between 3-7% using 2 voices of polyphony without the right ride fx being modulated, which definitely takes a bite out of the single thread i had running in that patch with 4 XFX Waves. The unusual part is that I didn’t hear any dropouts while recording, which makes me assume it was OBS and the 60 fps i forgot i had going from my Touch Designer visuals from last time. I also have been having trouble gauging where i stand with the new cpu meter we now have in v1.1.4, so i may need to look into how that works as well. I am so used to the old ways of just see how much resources i had left.
Really love what you’re doing with VCV. Please keep it coming! Very inspiring
Thanks @merzky_shoom! I will definitely do my best to keep the music flowing
Been slacking pretty hard on posts and listening to everyone’s stuff. I feel like I’ve missed so much because of school lately. I’m trying to catch up by posting this thing I made a month ago. Kind of slow but hopefully interesting. I miss my fellow Rackheads, and hope you are all making beautiful modules & music!
Patch:
VCV Rack experiment with noise crackles(thanks to Omri & down_of_hares for the inspiration for this sound), an arpeggio, a delay drone, a granular pad, and a kick drum.
Voices originate from pink noise, Plaits, FW Everlasting Glottal Stopper, & Vult Knock
Used my 2 favorite vst effects via VCV Host to create the atmosphere: Valhalla Delay & SoundHack ++bubbler
Very nice patch Adi !
School is killing me too Good luck my friend ! Thanks for the cool vid !
Thanks so much Valentin! And oh, I hear ya, hopefully you can take some time from studies for patching to maintain sanity, I am on the edge myself
Nice piece Adi, great experiments in sound design!
Thanks Lars!
A melodic patch using the new Orca’s Heart sequencer as “the heart” providing the main clock as well as pitches & rhythms to a bunch of VCO-1’s.
Some many new modules, so little time, but this one seems special to me. Thanks Scanner Darkly…
Very nice!
Nice! I am going to have to try Orca’s heart now.
Finally on a break from school, so I can get back to my VCV Rack therapy sessions for a couple weeks. I apologize for not responding to my own thread, and I have a lot of listening of you guys that I’m looking forward to. Hope everyone is doing well in Rack-land!
Maze, Entropia, Plaits, & Smoke get drenched in excess reverb.
P.S. Maze is A-Maze-ing! In my own imaginary perfect world, it would have an end-of-cycle trigger out that can be used to advance rows, and a trigger out when it ratchets. Also, I wish Maze, 8Step & SS-2 would start on step one on the first clock pulse like Entropia does. But for now, it’s easy just to use a button trigger into Bog UMix to manually pulse it to the last step before starting the clock to get everything to sync.
Super cool composition ! I loved it ^^ Enjoy the break my friend
Cheers
Nice, a reverb shower is always good
Sounds fantastic Adi! Really well balanced with a sense of mystery to it
