I was able to put together an abstract version of a friend’s comic in about 3 hours:
You can see it in more detail here: https://miro.com/app/board/uXjVOqIgmyg=/?share_link_id=788138103443
Some of the panels aren’t fully upscaled because I was working in “rest” mode to conserve CPU credits.
In French we say “C’est ecrit en pattes de mouche” (written with a fly’s foot)
An by the way this Ai has a strange relationship with music wolrd
Just prompt Trumpets, Tubas, Violins and get this haha
indeed, knob = penis
try a list of words, such as dials, sliders, buttons, levers, latches
or possibly even something like knurling
might work
Will try it Thank
This AI recognizes immediately the words batman, ninja turtle, etc… but then the musical instruments, it’s really not that.
I tried something really simple
A trumpet on a table.
mmmh. then A horn on a table.
not better. Trying The instruments of the orchestra.
Interesting, there are only strings.
But it’s fun
I’ll try something easier i think : electric guitar.
Ok that’s better.
Now I’m trying realistic electric guitar. And here… ooh surprise.
Look at my trumpet tuba, violin imags above. If you have a really bad mind you could imagine things. In and out etc… a real orgy between brass and violins But this picture of the electric guitar is totally explicit. That AI is a total sex maniac !
I can see now why they would have banned any words that might be equivocal.
This might come in handy
also, some midjourney docs
and
https://github.com/midjourney/docs/blob/main/guide-to-prompting.md
I think some of your difficulties are due to English not being your first language, and its a shame that language has such a profound effect on the AI because you are probably not achieving the results you might otherwise…
and its not just text prompt engineering, its also understanding the meaning of certain words and identifying their effects.
For example; it seems to me that the word instrument
often causes the image to skew towards a piano keyboard, take a look at these generations that use the word instrument
in the text prompt
Once you notice the keyboard element, then you can try replacing words one at a time to identify the cause, then you can either re-engineer your prompt to work around using the problematic word, or you can make use of the negation modifier
For example, here is a generation of the prompt a range of orchestral instruments, photorealistic, highly detailed --no piano keyboard --ar 16:9
that seemed to work out well
(although even here, possibly the word range
is being problematic, skewing towards a mountain range in #4, sometimes you just have to keep repeating the same prompt until you see something good!)
and some variations and upscales:
by the way, I now only have 2.6%
of my monthly allowance remaining, looks like I’ll be dropping another $30…
It’s fun, in a way, to see the inner workings revealed. Someone created paintings of some musicians and I chimed with “Sigourney Weaver in Ghostbusters”, fed it an image, too, and it absolutely insisted on doing sci-fi bits and a spacesuit.
Yeah, it can be a really fun collaborative experience if you use the server channels.
Usually I just do everything in a DM with the bot so that I don’t have to sift through everyone else’s stuff to get to my own images.
But when I do use the channels, quite often I see that someone has seen what I am doing, clicked on my upscale or variation buttons and taken it off in their own direction.
Sometimes we even have a little back and forth changing a word or two as we go.
If you have any friends on the platform, it would make a great tool for a game of picture whispers (i suppose its inappropriate to call is Chinese whispers these days, Google reckons people also call the game combination man or exquisite corpse?)
You totally right, and I’m aware of that. When it come to discuus on an english forum, rather technical, ther is not to much problem.
But when it comes to discussing deeper issues, it becomes more difficult. There are tons of groups of words or little phrases that would have specific meanings, and for the subtleties of language the translators don’t help much.
That said, I deliberately tried minimal terms to see what would happen.
Instruments as a keyboard give interesting result.
Nice! Some words definitely work better magic than others, regardless of what other words go with them. Words like ‘portal’, ‘gateway’, etc. seem to work really well.
