Where does VCV store the modules on the PC

I purchased Scalar and downloaded the 4700 available scales from the Scala website. Trying to figure out where to put them.

Open up Explorer > Documents > Rack2 > Plugins

Rack stores its plugins in the user folder, so you’ll find the Scalar download there in the \Rack2\plugins\VCV-Scalar directory. However, I wouldn’t recommend putting .SCL files there because the plugins directory is something that Rack manages and they could get deleted when the plugin upgrades.

If you’re only (or mainly) using these with Rack, you might have better luck creating a subdirectory in the user folder (i.e. creating and using \Rack2\scales\). It looks as though Scalar looks there every time. (If that’s right, storing the last used path would be a good feature request for Scalar!)
