What are you listening to?

Good find Ingo! Yeah, looking at the faces of the audience at that Krafwerk koncert, they really don’t know what to make of it - I still don’t  It was in their wild, experimental beginning, together with the other “Krautrock” bands. They didn’t know what they wanted to make, just that it was not going to be “the old”. Fascinating period, which is really well documented in this (must see!) sublime documentary:

A general tip for everyone: Those “Rockpalast” concerts, through several decades, are some of the best and most memorable concerts ever filmed, and you can find a lot of them on YouTube. They were 6 hour marathon events, televised live all over Europe. I used to watch them religiously every year, live, and they were some of my best concert experiences with bands like The Police, ZZ Top, Patti Smith, Peter Gabriel and on and on. Wonderful stuff, highly recommended!

That the only ELO album I like. I love all the singles, but not many are good for a whole album.

Agree. ELO’s Out of the Blue album imho should have been a single album, not a double. It’s one of the reasons why I like vinyl, limited space. Real decisions have to be made 2x20 min and that’s it. CD’s have too many fillers. It’s also why I like EP’s, just 4-5 tracks, showing what an artist is currently doing. More focus.

Unloaded a good amount of vinyl. Limited space! Went from 4500 LPs to 600.

For every new one an old one has to go, or the new one after a fortnight or so. Kept it all nicely at ~500. And CD’s that’s a different story …

No point in keeping CDs. Have zero.

Still has the touch:
