There was a time more than 15 years ago, when every Thursday I would log in to #armind mixxnet.net using mIRC chat, tune to DI.FM and listen 2 hours of transcendental trance music radio show. Then I would download rip from private, now offline torrent tracker (tranceroute.com), download .cue file to split rip to tracks and listen to them foreavar.

Only later I realized that, that was golden age.

Interesting experiment here, was a remix album of the Groundhogs’ great blues rock album “Split” where original Groundhog Tony McPhee worked with a modern producer to add up to date effects to the original 70’s album tracks.

Not sure it’s any better, but it’s definitely different.
