Mainly classical (Medieval and Baroque), electronic (old stuff from the early age of concrete music), 19th century Russian guitar (7 strings classical guitar) and the latest Rammstein in the car.
This music has been used as a soundtrack here in Québec back in the '80, fine female choir…
Thom Yorke today
I know I’m not in the majority but I think King of Limbs is my favorite Radiohead album.
Chilling with my 9 year old listening to Tycho Past is Prologue before bedtime.
Never enough Caterina…
Currently listening to the very austere Ääniesineitä by Antti Rannisto. https://open.spotify.com/album/1rCkobvYfyh8rSlbjpJEDl?si=YXoMp-6dQdOpccoceFI7mw
Our first track to be mentioned twice! It’s quite impressive considering this topic is at nearly 300 posts, yet the range of music is such that only now have we had the same track mentioned twice. Says something about the quality of Radiohead though, eh
In terms of what I’m listening to, I’ve got these two albums on:
^This electronic/math/avant garde masterpiece
^ And this math rock/technical metal one
Funny, I thought ok I’ll just check the Stop Making Sense concert for old times sake… ended up staying all the way through again.
After this one I’m going to turn it off… right!
What’s really interesting looking back is what Jonathan Demme was able to capture… even in all that darkness. It’s like you could freeze any frame and hang it up on your wall.
And the athleticism of David Byrne is just incredible… talk about a marathon performance.
Still remember the soundtrack he did years ago for the film “Young Adam” titled “Lead Us Not Into Temptation”… one of my all time favorites-some great tracks on there and I learned quite a bit from it.
Couldn’t find a complete playlist… missing the last two songs unfortunately.
Listening to a lot of Muslimgauze lately, luckily there’s a lot of it to listen to.
I’m currently listening to / watching Warp Records’ 30th anniversary live stream: WXAXRXP. The schedule (London time) is at Schedule 1 | NTS.
Patiently waiting for Aphex Twin and Boards of Canada.
Got Audio Hijack queued up.
Thanks for remembering this band. Lost sight of me completely.
