Polyphony is just great, my plucked arpeggios sound like a strange harp. Super KS oscillator!
I too, saw physical modeling and immediately purchased
@clone45 For spores, is there a way to capture the buffer as a sample so you don’t lose it? Could you keep the current buffer of data as a sample instead of clearing it when I disconnect the inputs. This way it would be a simple recorder without leaving vcv rack to read a file back in.
Hi Jeremy,
Let me dig into this tomorrow. I owe you for the great videos and maybe I can make this happen!
I sent your videos to my parents. My mother thought that I had created them, and I had to break her motherly heart by admitting that a far superior user had posted them. Ha ha ha. So, you have some new fans, for sure.
I’m fairly confident that I can make this happen. I’m curious if there’s going to be any discontinuity between when the patch (and buffer memory) loads, and the incoming audio. I suppose there’s only one way to find out.
Cheers, Bret
I really do love your modules. Hopefully you can figure out a way to make the buffer a sample. It would be fun. Thanks for all your work.
Good news!
I got it working!
So just to recap: Now, when the module is set to process audio input (when not sample mode), the buffer will save and load properly along with the patch. It’s especially nice when the feedback is turned up high and you’ve developed some ambiance, because that will load right back where you left it.
However…
I suspect that the VCV Rack team will be a bit busy during the holidays, so I’m not going to bother them with the update, especially since I took up their time recently with with Impulse module. Instead, I’ll likely ping them on the 28th to get these updates live. I should also have the ability to load MP3s launched soon for both my main collection and for Spores.
Cheers!
Bret
Danb really amount of that technical textures variations that can achieve with Bleed in coop with Equation modes (and some other param’s changes) is enormous, that really impressed. This is what should be not spoil accidentally lol.
Funky stuff!
Hi Jeremy! Would you be interested in early access to a module that I’ll eventually be releasing? It’s an emulation of the speak-and-spell, with a circuit bending interface that’s fairly true to the real experience. (Although, the chip/circuit rendering is just for fun and is not accurate.)
omg yes!
You made a module with its own internal patch cables??!! Whoa!
The idea is awesome. But this layout looks unprofessional. Sorry to say that.
Looks like a fun idea!
I’ll have to disagree. I think the layout looks great!
layout looks really cool!
I wondered the same. It looks a little odd, but playfully tips the hat to your brand, and seems harmonious with the concept of circuit bending for some reason. I don’t mind it.
But there is certainly plenty of room to shift the ports, circuit board, and “Circuit Bender” label down to make way for the full brand text. That would probably make the entire visual composition a bit more balanced as well. But definitely you should do you!
such a cool module! excited when this releases, am a big fan of the physical modelling one !! the JW videos r really cool !
