Quick update on the panel artwork! I didn’t have the money to hire a graphic designer, so this is my own work. You’ll probably notice a lot of inconsistencies, slightly misaligned components, and that type of thing. I’m aware of them, and I’m trying something new by embracing some of the imperfections.
Here’s a de-saturated version.
The concept for this panel was generated in Midjourney. I took that general concept and brought it into Krita, where I hand painted most of the shadows, grit, and details. I created the custom knobs in Inkscape. The ports and attenuation knobs were generated using ChatGPT, which I modified.
Here’s one of the AI generated concepts that I used for inspiration. It has that “Midjouney” vibe to it, which I adore.
These look awesome.

Looking great, love the grimy feel. (and of course the wooden cheeks
)
Not a massive difference to the desaturated one, you could lean into that more perhaps, make the desaturated one basically monochrome with some highlights, or add more pops of colour to the original?
Here’s a zoom-in for some of my favorite detail work:
Here’s some of the painted shadows and dirt layer around the central knobs…
I can’t wait to work on my next one!!
Really nice GUI work- have to point out that “EXCITATION” is missing its “C” ![]()
a man of many talents
This is an amazing sound design tool. Great work again Bret!!
HOLY COW! That’s fantastic!!

Thank you! And thank you for making the new oscillator! It is unique and easy to use! Can’t wait to see what you do next!
Is this new module polyphonic?
Read Bret Truchan’s notes in his picture above your post.
Hi
Grabbed Impulse, there is question: after single trigg with Source “Equation” or “Equation+”, if we increase “Bleed” (all other params by default) we can hear continuously (non-faded) texture. That keep sounding also after Init of plug (if increase Bleed resp). But this condition not saveable \ not keeps sounding after reopen project (require trigg again i mean).
Just need to make sure if Is this by design ?
@auxmux Sorry, those notes were from a different project!
It’s monophonic.
I’ve updated the screen capture and removed those notes. I’m super sorry for the confusion.
Yes, that’s by design. It has to do with the way that the bleed is fed back into the karplus strong delay. The initial trigger is required to get that cycle rolling.
Ok tnx (actually i quite liked that continuous texture nature, but just need was make sure that this works as it should be)
You bet. I’ll take a another look at it in just a few minutes. One thing that I’m not doing is saving the delay buffer contents when a patch is saved. I was probably being lazy. But I also sometimes have concerns about saving buffer contents, dealing with the memory management, and stuff like that. I’ll give this some thought.
Ok. Though, considering that it require trigg in most initial stage anyway, it’s can say not critically. Ie it seems there are no clear contradictions in current behavior. The only perhaps could make sense to able to cut this (clearing buffer) with the Init command, ie for matching with state of loaded module from scratch. And even so - this is at your decision (depends how it can be headache to implement in VCV).
