Thanks everyone. Sounds like its good on Linux. Still would be good to have confirmation for Mac.
Stand down it looks like it is working
I’ll try to improve the manual, AND to make the dragging more responsive.
Thanks
There is a new release of SubmarineFree. This includes a new oscillator, the SN-101 Smooth Noise. This produces a randomly evolving smooth waveform of selectable complexity.
Proper
Version 1.1.1 has now made it to the plugin library.
Version 1.1.2 has just been released.
This has a linear transformation module which can mix the 16 channels of a polyphonic signal into 16 output channels.
Also (and probably of more use) Jim Allman has made some improvements to the Wire Manager. It now features a billboard mode, so you can display the meanings of your color scheme if you are recording a video or tutorial.
I’m wondering which orientation you chose for your LT-116 Linear Transformation module. Is an output channel the sum of a row or the sum of a column?
Proper
I can’t remember, but I put little arrows next to the input and output to remind me.
The input channels are arranged down the array, and the output channels are arranged across.
So a single output is the weighted sum of the knobs in a single column
Just found a couple of bugs. So v1.1.3 is now out
I forgot to mention.
As well as the work on the WM-101 that Jim put in, I added the ability to save and load collections. This should make it easier for you to share collections without having to manually edit the configuration file.
Wow. These arithmetic operator modules seem awesome for low level stuff.
EDIT: User error. Disregard below.
I tried the example sine oscillator patch here:
… to no avail on Rack v1.1.6 (Windows).
For complicated stuff, the Formula module from Frank Buss is pretty easy to use and very effective. But the AO-device is typically faster if you can model your algorithm in it.
Not every algorithm is going to be easy to route through the AO-device though, and it’s much more challenging to use.
Version 1.1.4 is now out.
This includes:
XF-301 small form factor stereo cross fader. The same functionality as the XF-201 but in a 2-HP package
TD-410 multi label text display. A 10-hp text display where you can create labels and move them up or down to align with the knobs/inputs/outputs on an adjacent module
HS-101 A High resolution storage scope, to record and examine up to 64 seconds of waveform down to a single sample resolution.
And I modified the WM-102 billboard so that before you load a color scheme into it, it will automatically track the colors in your WM-101 wire manager.
I really like the big scope, will be quite useful for debugging, thanks!
thanks for your modules! one suggestion for WIRE MANAGER - hot key while hovering the mouse on this module for select next or previous single cable that have been pointed with X? Would be useful with my two colors theme. SHIFT+D or something that fit for left hand. EDIT: or just arrows on the panel itself to use with mouse clicking - up arrow and down arrow. would be cool if one cable was been chosen and need to switch it to another sometimes
I’m not sure I understand what you are asking.
It does have hotkeys for selecting/deselecting colors. So you could use Shift-F1 and then Shift-F2 to switch between two colors in a scheme: if that helps at all.
yeah, it helps pretty much, thanks. however I need to press double time this hotkeys to deselect previous color and then switch to the another so wondering about just one hotkey to select one color and switch it to the next one if that possible of course.
Or if you are mostly using red cables, and then want to do one green cable. Double clicking on the green color in the WM-101 will put it into single cable mode, where it will use that color for just the next cable you add or move.
