I really like the first part Dave, just lovely!

Three Lamentations In The Time Of Plague

An external MIDI sequencer drives two instances each of the Dronez and Annuli modules. Many parameters dynamically modulated. See the YT notes for further details.

A noisefest. Much fun with Annuli, PdArray, Orca’s Heart and the Xenakios version of Plaits.

Very nice – how did you get your VCV plugins to look so nice and colourful?

He edits the panels himself in inkscape.

Oooh, didn’t realise how easy it was to do that. Sweet, thanks for the tip!

well, it’s not that easy, but @dlphillips is a smart guy. Also, as he will tell you, some modules only make it easy to edit parts, and there are others that you can’t change. But clearly one can do a lot.

Beautiful drone Dave, I like it a lot! I’m sure ablaut would say: Slow? That’s not slow…

Thank you, Lars ! (My apologies for the late reply, I’m keeping busy during our shutdown here.)

Best,

A noise piece made from the Braids Cymbal synthesis model. Probably not instantly likable.

Nice!

Two mscHack Dronez modules deliver a drone + melody, with assistance from a pair of Annuli resonators, Seq++, and friends from the regular supporting crew.

A fragment from a long ambient performance.

The Fundamental VCO-1 is the mighty module here, along with more than a little help from some friends, of course. See the notes at the YT link for more details.

Your music always shows so much variety from piece to piece, and everything sounds so “intentional”.

More use of the “composition” plugin, aka The Gray Room. Not much to say about this one, the music was composed with an external sequencer, VCV Rack does yeoman synth duty. Enjoy, comments welcome as always.

Thanks, Bruce ! I do enjoy exploring different approaches to music composition, from blues to Boulez. The “intentionality” is intentional indeed, I’m trying to avoid Stravinsky’s critique of Boulez’s Pli Selon Pli: “Monotonously pretty, pretty monotonous.”

Motion capture with a webcam drives a Pure Data patch which then drives a patch in VCV Rack.

See the YT notes for more detailed information.
