btw, the so called “nord reset protocol” is quite unambiguous. I like it better than the “ignore clocks for 1ms. after a because there might be delays just in case” protocol. My unreleased arpeggiator offered the choice of either.
To recap: a trigger on the reset input puts the device into “ready for reset” state. When a clock comes in, and the module is in “reset ready” state, then it will reset and clear ready for reset. If ready for reset is not active, the trigger on the clock input acts like a normal clock.
Simple to implement, not problems with delays, completely unambiguous.
