Hi everyone,

I’m StĆ©phane from Antibes on the French Riviera (CĆ“te d’Azur, main city: Nice)

I’ve been practicing VCV for a few months and I see that I have a long way too go before understanding every concept and succeding in releasing, maybe one day, a bunch of acceptable tracks.

I have some semi-modulare instruments too: Lyra-8, 0-Coast + 0-Ctrl and Crave that I don’t use enough.

For now I have a YT channel and a Soundcloud profile that I use as a notepad to post some of my experimentations, successes and failures, my influences and sometimes, miracle, something that is not - according to me - too bad.

At last I’m looking also looking for VCV users to meet in real life in my area. Just to talk about synthesis, exchanging tips and tricks over a coffee (or a beer, your choice) and why not even collaborate on some creations, let’s be crazy! I tell it: I don’t have a very high level at the moment, but I’m learning little by little.

So if you live nearby, don’t hesitate to say hello!

Heya!
I’m phantombeta, a Brazilian programmer, primarily a game modder and hobbyist game engine developer, and now I dabble in VCV Rack plugin development.

I found VCV after becoming interested in Eurorack after playing the Eurorack-inspired game The Signal State, then watching videos by people like LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER and mylarmelodies.
Sadly, I couldn’t afford Eurorack or a DIY synth. I later found videos by Red Means Recording on VCV, and later Omri’s, so I decided to give this thing a try and I found that I quite enjoyed it! :slightly_smiling_face:
I’m still not very good at the whole ā€œmusicā€ thing, but at least I’m trying!

As for VCV plugin development, I thought about making a module for a while, one that added sounds for plugging and unplugging cables for immersion, because I missed it from that ā€œThe Signal Stateā€ game. What finally convinced me to give it a try was seeing Biset’s very cool ā€œBlankā€ module, with its custom animated cables, and finding out it must’ve been possible. Now I have a little collection of modules of my own in the library, including that one.

Thanks to the community for being fairly welcoming, and for all the work other plugin developers put into making these great modules.

I hope that wasn’t too long and rambly! Cheers!

Just a happy user here, but I think we need as many perspectives in development as possible, games are a big part of computing and ongoing development of the internet connected world. Thanks for being part of the fun!

Hello everyone, My name is Manu, Sibyllandreas on my channel. I am a guitarist, a lover of effects and atmospheres. I started in VCV rack two years ago. Along with this wonderful software, I use an Arturia Minilab, a Microfreack, guitars, basses and assorted pedals and an old Alesis SR-16 that I sometimes use as a sequencer. I don’t have much idea of modular synthesis but I learn quickly. I have a lot to learn in the subject of voltage control, gates and complex automations. I have a YouTube channel where I share my exercises:

I hope to learn a lot from you and excuse me if my questions or interventions are too basic.

Hey Manu, some nice work on your channel! I really liked the piece with guitar, would like to hear more of that. I also play guitar, and make effects processing patches with VCV. There are some crazy sounds you can make with guitar and VCV, my channel is called ā€˜virtual modular’ if you’re interested in that idea.
