@user94 mentioned (here Macbook Neo for Rack? - #9 by user94 ) experiencing some extreme UI lag using HOST VSTs on Mac OS. I was running Sequoia (M4) up until last Friday (05/01), and had never experienced any HOST/VST lag. It might have been/probably was there, but I never noticed it.
Then I upgraded to Tahoe 05/01, and now all but a couple of my VSTs in HOST are borderline impossible to use. Like @user94, I can “set and forget” most things, but several do not have manual value entry options, so they are very challenging to fine-tune. Audio is fine. It’s just the UI lag that sucks in HOST. The same VSTs run perfectly in all other apps.
VCV Support is aware, but there is no ETA on resolving the issue. If you are also experincing this PLEASE report to support. The more they hear about it, the sooner it gets fixed…. in theory.
