So this is marvellous as always! What is the Spitfire lab pack you are using for this? Was going to ask for the patch as well, if possible. I have the Shimmer Vst already. Much appreciated.

It is Originals Cinematic Soft Piano it is a commercial sounds pack. VST is a Solaris v. 1.0. Patch maybe tomorrow or soon. Thanks for your coments. :man_dancing:

Solaris is such a tasty shimmer plugin!

Night session Flute Live Keystep and Rack

First time with Arturia Keystep and Arturia Analog Lab V (flute). Iā€™m using VCV Rack as vst plugin Ableton Live Suite. Iā€™m constantly learning new things. today it came to my home studio Keystep from Arturia. Half of the day was spent mastering and relatively understanding the philosophy of how this equipment works. Forgive my clumsy ā€œfunā€ with Ableton. But Iā€™m learning it too. In short, you can lose track of time. Cheers

Is this module available in 64 bit? I cannot get it to run on VCV Rack2

in ā€œwin64ā€ folder

Ughā€¦ Yes, of course. Thanks.

VCV crashes when you click the matrix display in the plugin to rename a patch. I have written VCV support about it.

It works in Reaper

Yes it does. And thanks.

Question: how do you make the vst HUI bigger? Several of the ones I use are basically unreadable theyā€™re so small.

I donā€™t know that itā€™s possible - unless scaling is built into the vst.

Like here, In KORG Wavestative Native (windows):

and U-He Diva:

and Surge XT

In every VST, a game of hide and seek to find the zoom settings.

In Windows, the last resort is usually Windows key and equals to bring up the magnifier. Very clunky but the only option for some VSTs that donā€™t scale.

Iā€™ve had some success, using a dual monitor setup. primary is 4K res - and i can move the unzoomable VST windows to a secondary monitor running a lower resolution. Doesnā€™t work with VCV in full-screen, which is a shame.

also in various configurations using Spacedesk to a networked screen - brings a virtual windows secondary screen to an android tablet for example. (too bad VCV isnā€™t too (multi)touch aware). https://www.spacedesk.net/

Sapphire Tricorder - Space Odysey

Hellou Gals and Guys. This is my new patch video. Forgive me for disappearing for some time and not presenting my pieces. As usual, lots of distractions. When you divide your passion between playing games on a computer and creating music, sometimes the side that can attract you for a long time wins. Starfield did it :). As usual, Iā€™m playing new plugins in my patches (Tricorder and Frolic from Sapphire and Melodygen from SS Modules). The whole thing fits into space-related themes - Starfield. Cheers

Very nice and relaxing! Nice to see you experimenting with Melodygen in addition to the new Sapphire modules. Melodygen is a very fun but simple generative melody engine. I havenā€™t seen too much about it here and the author does not appear to be active. I used uMap to add CV control to the Melodygen parameters and that adds a lot of flexibility and possibilitiesā€¦

Again, great music!

Melodygen is absolutely fantastic. I foud this a couple week ago on VCV Library and add as new to my colection and forgot about it for week. So when I put this to my experimental patch ( not this one from today) I fall in love (trill mode is a genial). This unique function make a big diferrence to other generators in VCV RACK. I try this module with sounds packs from Spitfire Audio. About this patch I made this yesterday and play on it in early version.

Today I add only midiCV and EvenVCO part and play on KeyStep. I regret not recording yesterdayā€™s session earlier. but recently I had some problems with hardware settings and getting everything together with the software. Unfortunately, the OBS I use is not able to run it to record the sound generated by vcv via ASIO Drivers. Iā€™m still looking for a solution.

For this reason, several patches and sessions were recorded with only image and no sound. So I noticed that recording a session every time is something unique. it is a process that changes every time. There are many factors that influence whether such a session is successful or not. In my case, as a non-man musician and a total amateur, it has a great impact. Besides, we do it because itā€™s what we like to do.

Iā€™m always happy when someone likes what I do. Thanks Ken. Greetings from Poland.

BTW, next time Iā€™ll probably try the JP series of modules. but thatā€™s soon. Iā€™ve been doing something with them recently, so I have to dig out this patch and take a closer look at it.

Cheers

Truly beautiful. A great evolving track. Is the patch available to be played around with? Iā€™ve not tried any melody modules, maybe I should do, if this is what can be produced using them! Much appreciated.

Welcome In PushLand

Ok there is the same patch just like in my last video. But this time I change some software and hardware to play music. This is my first time I ever meet Ableton Push 3 controler. I try to combine it with my Arturia Keystep but I failed. So for the while I change hardware (gears) until i will find some solution fro this problem. And so this time I present to you my struggles and a new interpretation of my previous patch. Overall, Push 3 is another very successful music creation tool. Iā€™m slowly starting to dig deeper. Keep fingers crossed. Cheers.

Birds in the garden Ableton Live 11 Push 3 & VCV Rack

Greetings from the abyss. After many months of break, I am back to creating music. For now, I will slowly introduce new things because I am constantly mastering new sounds and tools. Weā€™ll see how it goes over time. For now, the plan is to post something at least once a week. Cheers
