Echoes from the Down

A bit of fun with a panning arp with offsets, plus some assorted crackles and ramblings from Radio Music.

Merci Marc. Glad you liked it

A little ambient piece inspired by the iconic picture of Earth taken by the Voyager 1 space probe.

It’s a very simple patch, as is my taste for minimalism. Just a few chords fading in and out, much like Alessandro Cortini does with his four track tape deck. I’ve then added random samples of assorted Earthlings with Radio Music.

A very short, quiet patch about one of my favourite places to be.

I’m using the segment generator to modulate the quad VCA which is being fed with the tidal modulator 2.
The temptation was to keep adding to the patch but I liked it’s simple honesty.

Oh, so that’s your Solsbury Hill! Cool!

I actually went and climbed up on Solsbury Hill once when I visited the UK. But it was day time, so I didn’t see any city light, nor any eagle flying out of the night.

Was Peter still there ?

No, I think they’d come to take him home

I live close to a lot of history where I am. Avebury stone circle is just down the road with lots of long barrows, hill forts and crop circles to visit.
These places always have an atmosphere about them, especially in the early morning mists with the echoes of distant rookeries chattering. A source of constant inspiration for me

That’s excellent. I’ve been to Avebury numerous times, even in the early fog, so I know what you mean  Visited West Kennet, Silbury, Wayland’s Smithy, Uffington White Horse, Rollright stones, Amesbury area and many more. Lots of special places there; quite a different feel to Australia (which has its own special sites)
