Are you still making modules? If so, how about an option for NoteMeter to give a choice of sharps or flats? afaik it always uses sharps.

I’ll add that and prep a new release.

Nice! It’s a great module.

You may already have enough to do, but if you are looking for another improvement for NoteMeter, I think it would be great if it was able to also display the voltages of a polyphonic cable instead of the notes.

An item in the context menu would allow to choose either voltage or note mode. And, if possible, the number of decimal places for voltage mode could be set in the context menu.

Just an idea.

but there are already millions of modules that can display polyphonic voltages, aren’t there?

There are many graphical meters, but which ones display numbers?

Right now, I can only think of NYSTHI MultiVoltimetro.

I have to confess that’s the only one I know of, too. It’s for sure the one I use all the time.

MultiVoltimetro is really nice and useful. However, it is wider than NoteMeter and sometimes shows more digits than I need. On the upside, it can show 16 instead of 12 channels and offers channel handling, as it includes outputs. I definitely would not want to miss it. NoteMeter would be a more compact addition.

And perhaps a few more…

Very cool, thank you, Lars!

Totally forgot about Debug. Nice alternative to NYSTHI MultiVoltimetro, and smaller, too. :+1:

Volt Meter and Specific Value are not polyphonic, but I use them often for single voltages.

Did not have Kn8b on my plate at all. Really nice find; added it to the list of polyphonic tools now.

There also is PolyProbe by AH. It is rather big, but offers two inputs and can sum two values per channel.

Could you let us know when it’s on your main? I use that in my dev build where I usually build most modules.

It’s checked in and tagged as v2.7.1. (has both your and Alphagem-O’s changes).

Let me know what you think. I’ll request the library version get updated later today.

Took a quick look - seems very nice. And it just let me find a bug in a module I’m goofing around with - there isn’t a g flat in c minor! I assume it’s my bug

Like the rest of computerscare, Debug does a number of (quirky and useful) things.

Clocked poly RNG.

And (the best part, in my opinion) it saves state when unconnected. And even with closing the patch.

Version 2.7.1 of NoteMeter with the support for selectable flats vs. sharps and raw voltages is now available in the library. The other module in the plugin that shows v/oct note values (Harp) was also updated to let you choose.

Tried it. Looks great! Thank you so much!

Great to see that Notemeter can be used as polyphonic voltage meter as well, is it possible to an option to change the text color? The red is a bit harsh on the eyes. Thanks!

well, if we are going to get picky… The bold font used to show the notes is bolder than most fonts I’ve seen in VCV. And the note seems to be displayed a little below the jack next to it?

Noticed a small bug: When setting number of decimals to something other than 6 (e.g. 2), then duplicating the module, 6 decimals are always displayed in the copy, even though the original setting (here: 2) is transferred onto the copy.

WIN10; VCV 2.6.3.

Sounds like its time for me to add some sort of “UI theme” to the plugin
