Will review fonts and see if I find something that works better.
Oops! On my list for fixes for the next version.
I had a productive day today - now you can turn Notemeter up to 11 (or 16).
I’ve uploaded a beta to github for those that want to help kick the tires. Fixes @Alphagem-O 's “duplicate module” bug. @Squinky: is the new font to your liking? @auxmux: I can add more colors to the selection if you have other suggestions.
-
Fixes issue #11 Notemeter did not initialize its text format to match the selected parameter value after the module was duplicated.
-
Implements issue #12 All modules that display values as text support a global style to change that color. Red remains the default.
-
Fixes issue #13 Notemeter and Harp use a thinner weight font for Note display, tweaks vertical alignment of text to better match the port locations.
-
Implements issue #14 Notemeter now shows 16 channels - not just the first 12.

Not on GitHub, but will definitely check it out once in the library. Thank you for all your hard work!
Awesome, thanks @Chinenual Updates look great.
I agree - this looks great! thank you.
These are all now available in the library.
Updated and tested NoteMeter today and it works like a charm. And having 16 channels available now is wonderful. Thank you!
In the process of working on @ale47p’s drone collaboration I had some trouble getting the frequencies just right for his unusual tuning. It was awkward to convert voltages to frequencies to compare to his instructions. So I made a small improvement to Notemeter: it now has three display modes: Note Name, Voltage (V), V/Oct as Frequency (Hz). Get your copy in the library…
This is terrific, thank you very much, @Chinenual!
I noticed that choosing a different color on one instance of NoteMeter also changes the color on all other instances in the patch, even though they may show different types of data.
Would it be possible to allow for different font colors for different instances of the module? No worries if you decide against it, I just think it would improve organization and visibility.
that’s very useful ![]()
Yet more improvements. Live in the library.
- Implements issue #16 Text color style is now “per module” not global to all Chinenual modules.
- Implements issue #17 Notemeter now displays a label indicating display units (“V” or “Hz”) when displaying those values.
- Implements issue #18 The “number of decimal places” precision param now controls both the voltage and frequency modes. The default is changed from “6” to “5” to more comfortably display high frequency values.
