Can't load new or existing patch

Hi-

I’ve got the Rack 2 Pro Edition. Ever since I upgraded to 2.04, I get this message when trying start a new .vcv file:

Could not load system template patch, clearing rack: Unarchiver could not write file to dir: Could not unlink

When I try to load an existing patch, I get this:

Could not load patch: Unarchiver could not write file to dir: Could not unlink

I went back to 2.03b without success. I’ve made no changes to my computer in the last couple of weeks (I’m an IT pro).

I’m dead in the water. Any and all suggestions welcomed.

It’s most likely the (new?) dreadful Windows Ransomware protection thingy. Solved in Rack 2.0.4. But I see you’re running 2.0.4 so that’s strange. Have a look at the attributes of the …/Documents/Rack2/ directory. Is it read-only? If yes that’s the Ransomware Protection, but Rack should have been added to the exclude list. If it didn’t work you might have to make the directories under …/Documents/Rack2/ writable manually.
