Echoing the fugue of excitement for this to hit 2.0. No recent news?

Just in case I’d be stepping on anyone’s toes, all I’ll say is there should be an announcement soon as the GitHub repo has been made public.

Thank you Steve for keeping an eye on things. And thank you zezic for making Phaseque public.

I’ve been working on fixing it up with Sergey from ZZC’s blessing. I was made a contributor on the repo for Phaseque and have commit access. I already put in 1 commit to fix I/O labels in V2, I have a PR up to clean up the code a bit, and then have on my system locally changes to fix things being drawn on the wrong layer to make it look better when the room brightness is down.

Theres still some real bugs though. Notably, one of the knobs is totally busted and double-click to reset values doesn’t work on any of the knobs on the right. If anyone else is ambitious enough to tackle some of them it would be greatly appriciated.

@baconpaul ?

Yeah? Sorry I’m super busy over in surge land but is there something specific folks are stuck on?

I’ve now hammered out some of the problems. Double-click to reset all parameters is working, lights are rendered on the correct layers, things are moving right along.

See GitHub - zezic/ZZC-Phaseque at WIP_12252024

I’m getting a bit stuck on a bug with the pattern resolution knob not working correctly. I can right click, enter a value, then turn the knob and it updates, but if I just turn the knob it’ll keep snapping back to old value. I found what looked like the relevant code and got it to behave like 1% better, now it’ll keep updating back to the old value but if you just kinda spin the knob quickly you can get a new value in. Obviously there’s some sorta race condition happening, but I can’t seem to find it. Pattern reso knob does not work at all Ā· Issue #18 Ā· zezic/ZZC-Phaseque Ā· GitHub

The other one I’m struggling with a bit is getting the RESO and MUTA knobs to spin visually again.

Sergey said he’d give me access to the ZZC (Not Phaseque) repo which is a sub-module of this one but hasn’t yet, and a few of my fixes are in there, but those are just visual anyway (Putting things on the light layer).

I haven’t looked into Incrementing sequence via external trigger from 32→1 will cause large voltage on V/12P output Ā· Issue #21 Ā· zezic/ZZC-Phaseque Ā· GitHub or Default length causes minor gaps in gates Ā· Issue #19 Ā· zezic/ZZC-Phaseque Ā· GitHub yet. I think those are the only other two real blockers.

Great to see you’re working on this! Like Paul, I’m busy in Surge land (and life otherwise)… but would love to help out when things clear up a little if you don’t get it sorted by then.

still seriously excited for this. just seeing that @Vega has taken it up. thank you!

any news on this?

Seems not.

I’ve been busy and haven’t had time to keep working on it. If anyone wants to take a crack at the few remaining issues, go for it.

@Steve_Russell any chance you help out here?

I’ll start having a look when I have a bit more time. Not promising anything as such as I’m not familiar with the code, so it’ll take a while.

Add me to the list of interested in seeing this bit of software running in newer VCV 2

I’ve managed to fix the known issues and created pull requests. There are also recent binaries for testing.
Release ZZC Phaseque v2.0.1 Ā· zezic/ZZC-Phaseque
