Phase reset is pretty much the same, and for sure will alias if steps aren’t taken to suppress it. But now that I ponder it, the standard techniques should work fine on a wavetable, just like they do on a sawtooth. Should be quite easy to use MinBLEP to keep the alias out, and there are plenty of examples in VCV to get inspiration from (starting with Fundamental VCO-1, which has low alias sync).
