Who wants to help me test a big update to JW-Modules?

Looking for somebody to go through my modules and just make sure they work and the changelog items are changed and logged

I’ll help test! I noticed that you’re actively making changes. Can you give me a heads up once you’re done?

wow looks like you have been thinking about very neat features to give your sequencers

great stuff looking at your new modules; buffer, random sound, shift register random and stereo switch sound like good rack tools

thanks for the fun rack tools

cant wait to bounce some balls off one another, 4 body problem

Here are some quick notes:

  • Your collection no longer seems to support light themed panels.

  • For the buffer module, if I am modulating start and end with a sequencer, freezing doesn’t seem to work. This might just me not understanding everything!

  • The Random Sound module is amazing.

  • If I crank bouncy balls way up, I can get an escapee:

  • For arrange, if I hold shift then click, the playhead moves. But if I hold the mouse button down and drag, notes get placed, which feels a bit strange.

Hope this is helpful!

thank you for trying things out!

  1. I put some info in my changelog. There is no more light panel. I got tired of changing all the panels/components/colors.
  2. for the buffer there is a right click option to gate the freeze or toggle the freeze. also there is a switch to make it wet on freeze.
  3. random sound - thanks!
  4. i will check the bouncy balls getting loose
  5. i will make sure you are not holding shift when i create boxes.

Re 1. So did I, so I made a system that gives me themed panels using just one svg per module, and one theme file per theme across all modules in the plugin. Scales much better than the default Rack scheme for themes.

Digging these new updates. Gate length is super useful for sequencing external synths or VSTs.

exactly, I have been fighting this forever, they need to be long for external midi but short for internal speed

Not sure if this was fixed in this update. But I encountered reset issues with Trigs when using it with poly inputs. Anyway, Trigs is a lovely module.

No I was not aware of this issue. Can you describe it?

Hmm, some new interesting modules to play with later, guess I’ll have to download the new unstable release for the modules not in the library yet?

wonder if you read my post about a module that extends gates from triggers cause I think it was your sequencer I was using Omnisphere with and wanted longer triggers, and the update is coming!
