When you really want to mess up a sample

I like to use uncleared samples, usually shortwave radio. I want to use the sound but I want to obliterate it with sample manipulation into something that will never trigger the sample police.

The sound is ironically a lot like what you hear if you tune between stations in a busy part of the medium wave spectrum. All the tremolo, filtering, phasing and echoes show up naturally in the shortwave bands, and in fact a lot of studio effects were originally inspired by radio interference.
