I’ve been a long-time fan of The Orb. Now they are making completely bonkers AI videos to accompany their musical creations.
And now the question is: How to record this deep beefy gong sound?

I remember doing that when I was 10 years old. It was awesome!
Contact mic taped (or rubber band) to a pencil with one of the strings wound around it.
I was poking around the files on my old Mac Mini, and found a ShockWave version of this;
It still creeps me out.
