Your basement must be huge!

I used to have like 4000 LPs in a studio apartment in NYC. Now I live in a house in CA, but I’ve pared down to 600 LPs. But I still got that one!

Love the two “Water music” parts around the beautiful rendition of “Here comes the flood” … “Drink up, dreamers, you’re running dry”

Saw fripp and his revox in a little club in maybe 1978. First met Eno that year, and he asked my friend “do you like my music”? My friend said “we like fripp and eno”. Eno seemed a little angry, and said "frippertronics? that’s “me"ertronics!”.

 Probably true. I’ll give myself a free pass since I love Eno even more than Fripp. Nice story.

Well, tape loops have been done since at least the late 40’s. Pierre Schaeffer?

EDIT: just came across an interesting site: Essential Loop (and Loop Related) Recordings

Eddie Jobson - Theme Of Secrets (1985)

Eddie Jobson third solo album, then categorized as ‘New Age’. Although classically trained from childhood (piano, violin), he has been involved with several well known (prog)rock bands/artists like Curved Air, Roxy Music (replacing Brian Eno), Brian Ferry (Roxy Music, solo), Frank Zappa, Jethro Tull and King Crimson.

The album Theme of Secrets is a showcase for the (then brand new) New England Digital Corporation Synclavier, especially the FM section, freshly licensed from Yamaha.

The album was produced by Peter Baumann (ex-Tangerine Dream) and some tracks do reflect that influence.
