Alas, Keith Jarrett is not just know for being an incredible pianoplayer and improviser…but also for his ‘bodily noises’, like humming, sort-of-singing, grunting, groaning, knocking an moving. Even on studio recordings. To me, very distracting in otherwise great music. Like in the example below…

Keith Jarett - Bregenz 1 (1981)

Boris is amazing. My friend John Hopkins (rip) did front of house mixing for them for several tours.

I named a cat “wata” once. My wife didn’t think it was funny.

So good. Probably my favorite as well.

An Amis (Taiwan) chant (“Weeding and Paddyfield Song No. 1”) sung by folk music duo [Difang and Igay Duana].

This song was sampled by Enigma and used in their song “Return to Innocence” without permission. After a legal battle the couple won recognition for their contribution. This has since been largely forgotten, unfortunately.

Some really nice stuff there. You mentioned Porter Ricks, I forgot about that album and how much I enjoyed it, so I headed over to YT for a listen, then found this beauty:

Oh yeah, the whole Anguilla Electrica album is a :gem: !

With Thomas Köner involved, you know you’re in for some great sound design in the low end.
