Alas, Keith Jarrett is not just know for being an incredible pianoplayer and improviser…but also for his ‘bodily noises’, like humming, sort-of-singing, grunting, groaning, knocking an moving. Even on studio recordings. To me, very distracting in otherwise great music. Like in the example below…

An Amis (Taiwan) chant (“Weeding and Paddyfield Song No. 1”) sung by folk music duo [Difang and Igay Duana].
This song was sampled by Enigma and used in their song “Return to Innocence” without permission. After a legal battle the couple won recognition for their contribution. This has since been largely forgotten, unfortunately.
