After all that Get Back nonsense it’s nice to kick back and listen to the original Prefab Four

Wait - 1971 ?? Holy moly … I must investigate further, these are a great band :metal: :sunglasses:

They were extraordinary: they wrote everything, they played like motherfuckers, they were just colossal and wonderful, and nobody’s ever mentioned them. They’re as important as anybody else who’s ever been, ever; it just wasn’t their time.

There are a lot of super good videos from 70’s German TV. I don’t know if they are all beat club? Often feature bands playing Orange Amps. I guess that’s what they had in the studio.

Yes and Rockpalast has a lot of well filmed full live concert performances from bands you only tend to get a few songs from elsewhere e.g. XTC from 1982

RIP Steve Bronski

Ever seen this? I still have the original 12" from… a long time ago?

Alefamusic out of Madagascar, by way of the Radio Garden app.

I have no idea what they are singing about, but it sounds very . . . festive.

That’s pretty cool

Many a night was spent watching Rockpalast with friends…

As a kid I think reruns of the Monkees TV show were the first things I encountered that made me want to make music and be in a band. RIP Mike Nesmith, may your tea cosy hat always remain.
