Voltage Block Equivalent

Hi there,

Hope you are all safe and well out there, is there a module out there for VCV that can do that thing that the Voltage Block does where you can send it a CV in and in becomes like 8 automation with a macro controller for moving through the different stages (with the option of adding slew?.

Many thanks M

Old thread. But I would love to know as well…

Sounds like you mean: switching between 8 (previously saved) states of a (sequencer) module? Maybe try stoermelder 8FACE mk2

Check out Venom Poly Fade.

VCV Library - Venom Poly Fade

With direction set to off you can control it with a 0-10 CV into the phasor input. You would run a polyphonic signal (a channel for each ‘stage’) into the input and use the sum output. There’s also the envs output which could be used to control levels on something else like a mixer if you’d rather do it that way.

Another one you can use along with a mixer is ROTOR

VCV Library - stoermelder ROTOR Model A

A 0-10 CV into the mod input gets you a polyphonic signal you can use to control mixer levels almost identical to the env out from poly fade. You could put the output from ROTOR thru a slew

Something kind of in this category but not quite the same is Befaco Muxlicer. It only changes on the clock but the knob on the top left can be used to select a specific stage but unlike Poly Fade or ROTOR you can’t mix between adjacent stages.

Not exactly voltage block - but nevertheless a great module. Thanks.

Try the Digital Sequencer from VoxGlitch. It has 6 sequences, each with length control, CV and gates. You can even clock each sequence differently. It’s not a full Voltage Block, but it can be great for a same kind of workflow.
