Hi, Here is my entry to vcp-23 “DisCoast”
The patch:
Thanks @Omri_Cohen for having shared recently his knowledge on the Chebyshev module
Thanks to Artem @VCVRackIdeas for his creativity in using modules in funny ways.

Hi All.I am so new to production, I haven’t a clue yet! Best I can do is a pic of simple patch . Disto makes this work,Well, Turing Machine helped a little.Few components.Try it out and kick back with a nice beer, cocktail, wine… whatever

Really enjoying Disto, made a guitar-like patch with it, it sort of dominates the spectrum so I just added some light percussion sounds and kept it basic. As usual for me lately, I didn’t have enough time to sequence anything, so more of a random note jam with a straight 1/4 kick pattern.

@balrogk Please share your patch on the platform. Thanks

New to everything music production. No id how to convert .vcv to a playable audio signal.I have to guess ya film the screen to create a video.Never done that b4.So those that can combine the patch above, enjoy. Just let it run,All I know how to do for sharing atm. :grinning:

Suggestion: make the “deadline” either 00:01, or 23:59… I learned that the hard way with my radio show being at midnight…

Also, now that everything holiday is done for good, waiting on vcp24 with baited breath so I can try and join in! :stuck_out_tongue:

Thank you. Almost twice in a month😉

actually, i took the idea of the flexible deadline from the disquiet junto project, which does weekly challenges. also, now that i don’t have to produce a list to vote for, it doesn’t really matter. if someone adds a late entry, i will still add it to the playlist. i have a reminder set for 9pm on tuesdays, shanghai time, which is when i try to wrap things up and announce the next challenge.

i still have work to finish tho (grading exam papers), so the next one will be announced within the next few hours.

Denis thanks so much!!! Your patch was really nice too, so many cool details and thought went into it. And finally got a chance to watch the video at home, I really like how you explain your process. What do you use to edit your video with? I just use OBS and haven’t really figured out how to incorporate anything other than maybe static pictures, and imagine I need other software for this.

Michael, if you ever have questions about making videos or recording your sound there’s so many people here that would help. A lot of us learned how to do it from this group, its easier than you would think. Just get the free OBS software to capture a video, and pretty much works without much fiddling other than selecting the window you want to record and adjusting the volume so your not clipping.

I make a montage in Premiere element. Since I had issues to record desktop audio from vcv with OBS, I had to do that way (you can see the nysthi recorder in the patch. It’s here for that reason.
Doing this, and after aving synchronized sound and picture, I told myself… Why not putting som screenshots and some explanations??? But I’m still noob on that and so it takes me quite a lot of time. Don’t you have this sound issue with OBS? I googled it to find some solution… Nothing found. But since I have an old laptop, recording the sound with the Nyshty modules prevents against crackles on the recording due to overloading my old and tired cpu.
