VCV Rack won't download

VCV Rack won’t download as an app, I download it and it gives me the option to launch it, so I can use VCV rack, but as soon as I close it VCV Rack disappears, and the file itself never downloads

Huh. Are you on Mac, PC, or Linux? (Troubleshooting will be a little different depending on the platform.)

Hi all,

I’m just looking to download the Mac version and when I click this link: https://vcvrack.com/downloads/Rack-1.1.6-mac.zip I’m getting “404 Not Found”. This seems very strange for someone’s first experience (it’s not my first experience, but this is what new folks see first usually) - I’m just going to the regular VCV Rack - The Eurorack Simulator.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
