is this too low to run rack 2? crash every 5 mins or less. Sometimes I can last longer. It’s a strange crash tho - vcv will crash out, but most of the time it doest crash the entire system so i have to reeboot. I leave it a about 30 seconds and then I can restart vcv and carry on. As I am sure you can figure this is such a ballache. I have a decent desktop, but I am away from home and have to use this laptop for the foreseeable future. Am I fuck**? or is the something I can do to optimise the system to at least get me like half an hour. then I could make some progress.

many thanks. I have tried to attach latest log but I am a new user so cant be trusted to upload files it seems… ; )

This won’t happen just because the machine is low spec. Send support an email.

I can’t really help with your issue but I did just want to mention that I found it very amusing that you chose to asterisk out the inoffensive ‘ed’ at the end of your f word, rather than the first four letters of it.
