The Spectra module causes Ableton Live 12 to loose the connection to the audio unit v2 plug-in.

Found out that the VCV Spectra Module causes Ableton Live 12 to loose connection with the audio unit V2 plug-in. This has happened many times and it took me a while to find out where the error was?! I’ve used Spectra in VCV-FX vst as a parallel drum fx in Ableton return channel. The project runs well but the next session there’s no connection and also all the other VCVRacks lost connection. I’m using now MacStudio M2 Sequoia but this has been an issue with MacBook Pro laptop’s as well since the VCV vst was released. Spectra can also crash VCVpatches, so I’m not using it anymore as part of a bigger patch. As a spectral processing module it might get heavy on the cpu when modulating many bands. If you get this VCV error message in Ableton and are about to explode? Calm down, the issue might not be the system you’re running or DAW, it can be a single module that causes it. VCV Spectra seems to be this kind of module. Still a great tool.

You did report this to the devs, right?

Yep.
