I’m looking for some support with a midi mapping problem. I would like to record midi cc messages via my faderbank (faderfox UC4) in Ableton/VCV and cant figure out how to do this.
Situation:
-I am sending V/OCT and Gate via my midi keyboard to VCV (all working) -I am sending midi CC via faderbank (all working)
However, I can see no way where I can record midi CC either as an automation lane in Ableton for VCV or in VCV itself. It would be nice to be able to do so without having to ‘print’ the audio via resample.
I’d prefer not to record the CV into a looper in VCV as this doesn’t seem totally reliable as a method- especially for longer sections of CV. I just want to be able to record the CC as automation to then be received. in VCV Is there any way of doing so? (it would nice to have tactile control that is then editable to a degree too at a later stage, hence as automation).
