Stochastic Telegraph - Thread of Results

While making these modules, I worked on a patch to sound out ideas for these modules and see what someone trying to use them might need. That ended up becoming an interesting generative patch in its own right.

The resulting track, Sunlight on Sea Anemones was originally going to be just one run of the patch, but then I happened to hear two different runs at the same time, and liked that too much to ignore. So the track is two runs with some panning movement and volume control added in Live.

I’ve added some notes to the patch to try and explain what’s happening in it and why. Enjoy!

First new music I’ve put out in a while (I was prioritizing making modules and devices).

Generations Lost (quietly). Originally made for a Junto exercise.

Another track involving virtual tape loops for what may become an album, maybe.

Swell Hum (for Marc Weidenbaum). Marc is known as @disquiet here; he shares my affection for intriguing machine sounds in the wild.

Here’s the VCV patch that I made it with. Of course, it’ll sound really different with your samples
