Hi friends, it’s been a long time since my last post!
Long story short, Caustic was by far one of the best music production environments on Android, as well as having a free version for Windows. Thanks to the software’s features that included everything from samplers to modular synthesizers, a large community of music producers quickly emerged around this wonderful software. At some point around a couple of years ago (or maybe three), its developer abandoned the project altogether, leaving this community orphaned, where hardware that can still run the latest version of Caustic is highly valued, as it is incompatible with new versions of Android.
For a year now, a Caustic lover has been developing open source software that aims to somehow fill the void left by Caustic, and that’s when today the first early version of Saving Caustic has been released.
I hope that in this community where without a doubt many of the developers do an exceptional job simply for the love of music, this seed can germinate.
