Sanguine Mutants Releases

@Bloodbat I’m noticing a bug where loading VCV User Presets with custom data for Funes/Plaits FM modes is not working correctly. Loading individual bin files works, but if you save to a User Preset, it doesn’t recall the patch correctly. Sometimes it defaults to the Factory patch even though it says Custom after loading; other times, it says Custom but doesn’t load the preset and old custom data hasn’t been replaced.

Can you please take a look?

@auxmux I will take a look :slight_smile:

Edit: discussion has been moved here:

Thanks for reporting!

Awesome, thanks! Trying out the nightly.

Fix is looking good so far. Still testing, thanks for the quick fix.

Update: Good to go.

@Bloodbat Wanted to check, does Funes or do other polyphonic mutants support polyphonic modulation?

@auxmux Yes, both Sanguine Mutants and Sanguine Monsters do! :slight_smile:

Whatever few exceptions do exist (Funes’ LPG. RSP and LPG. DCY controls come to mind) are mentioned in the manual for each module; but there are not many (perhaps only those 2); old versions of Explorator had a single noise source for the Sample and Hold and the Noise output; but that has been rectified in recent versions (it is mentioned above in one of the changelogs).

As mentioned in the " Module polyphonic conventions" section of the manual, polyphonic ports are golden, monophonic ports are silvery and, if a modulation has a golden port, it is polyphonic and will modulate on a per-channel basis. Most ports for my polyphonic modules are golden ;).

Other than that, individual modules use different ports to set their polyphony, they are mentioned in the manuals: polyphony is automatic and can’t be set by hand.

A lot (and I do mean a lot) of information about the Sanguine Mutants is covered in the manual!

You can read the 215 page doc. Here:

It has a clickable index, it is searchable and tries to be as friendly and helpful as possible :slight_smile:

This manual alternately tickles the rational part of my brain… and its irrational part ! I downloaded the manual yesterday, along with, of course, the accompanying short stories. I must say that while the first part proves very useful on the planet VCV Rack, the second, very enjoyable to read, lifts the veil on an unsuspected world… Not to be read late at night! I wonder who this “mad scientist” was who wrote it? Perhaps a relative of Edgar Allan Poe? In any case, he deserves a big thank you!
