Questions Regarding Path Set's Cheese Grater

Hello people,

I want to buy Path Set’s Grains Set in VCV Rack but I have some questions regarding the module Cheese Grater. I was looking for the context menu for Cheese Grater within the VCV Community as well as on the manual on Path Set’s Github page, so as to see what the context menu provides but unfortunately I couldn’t find it anywhere, so the people who own it, can you let me know these three things which are as follows.

1. Can I load my own samples without recording directly into it?

2. For how long can I record directly into it, by how long I mean the maximum length?

3. Will the sample save within the patch when I load the patch again?

Thanks

Shrey

Hello, I’m not an expert on the module, but I own it and have just tested the following in response to your questions:

1.) As far as I can see, there is no function for loading your own samples. 2.) It records for as long as you press the button. After approx. 10-11 seconds, it switches off automatically (even if you continue to press the button). 3.) I recorded a sound at the input and it was still there at the output even after closing and restarting VCV Rack.

There are no special settings in the context menu, only whether the expander is coupled or not, see screenshot. The expander also has no special settings in the context menu.

Hope this helps and maybe someone with more experience with the module will respond. Or you can contact the developer.
