Just for reference (a rather trivial thing that took me some time to find out):
I’ve been trying to control Smute using the pads of an AKAI MPKmini mk2 MIDI controller, so I could sync mutes with a clock.
When operated by mouse, a single press changes the mute status of Smute. However, when using the pads of the MIDI controller, changing Smute’s Mute Toggle always required the pad to be pressed twice.
The solution came from How to control the VCV Seq 3 from an Akai MPK Mini Plus? - #5 by Jens.Peter.Nielsen.
In their default configuration, the AKAI pads are in ‘Toggle’ mode, but after changing this setting to ‘Momentary’ using the Akai Professional MPK Mini MkII Editor, mutes in Smute now change their state when pads are pressed only once.
