Hi everyone! … at Nysthi I discovered the POLYREC module … it records 16 channels … which means that if I had a 32 channel MERGE module, it would only record 16 channels out of those 32? or is it 16 poly channels? … thanx
16 is the upper limit of poly channels inside 1 cable. POLYREC has 1 poly input so it records max 16 channels. You can’t MERGE 32 channels into 1 cable. However you can use POLYREC64 to record up to 64 channels grouped in 1-4 cables.
@_jojo_blue ask @ROGAVKA, he knows EVERYTHING !
he advised me well …
ahaaaaaa … I didn’t notice the POLYREC64 module because I was enchanted by the POLYREC module as I noticed it
… tahnx a lot!!!
wrong
the mm 1-8 directly in a polyrec 1-16
the mm 9 -16 in polyrec 17 32
the mm groups in our polyrec 33 48
that’s all
ou yessss … I thought that from inputs 16 32 48 and 64 on POLYSEQ it is possible to use only one at a time as needed … thanx a lot!
… thanx thanx!
perfect … working!
No, not at all. The resulting wav file seems to contain no recording/doesn’t seem to show any audio. Thanks again for helping me try to solve this!
PS I just right+clicked on the Polyrec module and selected Consolidate Tracks After Recording. The resulting file then was audible but very very quiet. What is being recording sounds like a very reduced version of what I’m hearing while monitoring (15 sec recording here https://www.thelab.blue/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/template-today-new-2024-06-05_202408110610_i7.32chan.000.wav ) This makes me wonder if the prob. has to do with a level going into the Polyrec? Ideas?
I remember having some trouble with POLYREC suddenly and haven’t tried it since (mainly because I didn’t have to record anything with multiple tracks). If you find a solution I’ll be interested in knowing what it is, buy yeah I think this module started to glitch with some update probably, because the same process for me worked for some time and then it wasn’t recording.
Yep almost total silence indeed very quiet.( Normalizing the tracks made it sound like a contestant for the wilderness challenge ?)
