Interesting development, the german branch of the Wurlitzer family, who also have a history in musical instruments making, has aquired the Wurlitzer trademark from Gibson. Being clarinet makers themselves, not software writers, they joined forces with Rhodes for the official Wurlitzer electric piano plugin.

They are currently weighing their options, contemplating if they should build electric pianos again. Apparently they already have a company building juke boxes under their name. It appears, they will mainly try to licence their trademark to other companies.
