It makes no difference between VCV Rack 2 or VCV Rack 2 Free if Simpliciter or Simpler Tape Ctrl is loaded both versions crash at once!

I’m guessing that a desktop upgrade is overdue here at Studio D. 
probably my fault, I compiled the linux version on a wrong ubuntu image

Works fine on my macOS 10.12 (Sierra) with Rack v2 beta-2. No browser crashes or log errors.

Simpliciter and the tape control still results in a crash when you try to load them
you have some problem in your OS
if @LarsBjerregaard reported working with 10.12 and you are getting crashes with the 10.13
my guess: your OS contains not compatible libs (libc++)
I use an OSX 11.6.1 to compile and the base version for VCV Rack compiling is 10.9
please attach the crash (formatted) crash log and open and issue describing the action you where doing
Convolzilla is crashing rack upon instantiation of the module in VCVRack 2 beta 2.
Yup, the same here
this is a real crash becasue v2 changed the sequence for some operations (in this case, there is an onSampleRateChange call at module instantiation (in v1 the sequence was different)
