I am trying to use a VSTs in my rack, namely Korg Modwave Native and even Battery 4.
When mapping battery, host doesn’t recognize clicking any of the pads, so I can’t trigger drums
the Modwave doesn’t work at all, I cant click anything. If I do get a knob to move (which has happened), it snaps back to where is was. Like it’s glitching or something.
Anyone else experience problems with their VSTs like this?
To map pads to Host inputs, you use the rightclick menu on one of the 16 rectanges, and find the “note gate” you want host to send to the VST as a midi note on message. I don’t have Battery 4, but that’s what I do for other VSTs.
Modwave Native 1.2.7 vst3 works fine here in Rack 2.5.1 Standalone on Windows 11.
Left-click one of the 16 rectangles in host - it changes to “LRN” - now wiggle a knob or a slider in Modwave Native - it’s assigned, and “LRN” changes to the parameter text. or you can search for a parameter, by rightclicking one of the 16 rectangles and searching (at the top of the popup) for one of the VST parameters.
try these with some lfo’s or random walks on the inputs.
i had no idea those even had right click menus! Thank you, I will try that for Battery 4.
As far as Modwave goes, I can’t click on anything on the plug in. It doesn’t work at all on Mac. Every once in a while if I keep doing a knob might move for a split second but then it goes back.
