MOTU Ultralite AVB original unit and VCV issue

I’ve been unsuccessful getting through to anyone at MOTU so I need your help Before I buy the new boredbrain optx2, I’ve been experimenting with the original unit.

If I send an oscillator signal from my eurorack to my computer via the MOTU Ultralite AVB, the signal goes straight to the speakers. It comepletely bypasses VCV.

If I send a signal from my Maths to VCV, it goes straight to the speakers and by passes VCV.

Anything I send out of VCV, goes straight to the speakers and not to the optix via the interface. I presume this is the DC coupling issue, but I’m still fairly ignorant on that.

So why does the MOTU accept an audio signal from optx but refuses to send it to VCV? Do I need something else for the two to communicate? I’m using the audio 1-16 VCV “unit” with little success. Does MOTU need something else to communicate with VCV?

You’ll need to share exactly what you’ve selected in VCV, and how you’ve connected it.

You haven’t mentioned what OS you’re using, and what drivers for your hardware you may have or haven’t installed.

AFAIK a DC coupling issue will manifest as distortion rather than no audio.

Could you share a screenshot of how you are using the VCV audio module?

Sorry for the lack of information. I’ll share that and a screenshot soon
