Mono clock --> polyphonic round-robin gates?

Given a sequence of clock pulses, how to distribute them round-robin to a poly cable? E.g., if the poly cable is 8 channels, each channel would get every 8th clock pulse.

Pulses:
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |
Poly cable:

Thought this would be easy to find but it’s escaping me (even forum search isn’t turning anything up).

The point is then to apply a poly gate modulator to get overlapping notes.

Thanks.

You can use the pulse signal as both input and clock on a switch, and merge the switch outputs into a polyphonic cable:

Have you tried this thread?

DocB P16S sounds like it may do what you want.

Also, if you want overlapping notes have a look at Bogaudio Assign.

Yep, haven’t tried that but looks as though it has exactly the same function as Assign. Great for making arpeggios or sequences play like a polysynth instead of a monosynth. When we first got polyphony in VCV I wondered why I couldn’t get the same sound as my Juno-6 with arpeggios, those are the modules that make it possible

Ah, that one was sitting in my library the whole time, but I’d never have thought to search for it by this name.

So Assign + Count Modula Poly Gate Mod has got me sorted.

Thanks! hjh
