Modulate 1 envelope or use 3 static ones

I dont yet quite understand the patch but i think chaos scource is the sound scource that creates random, dejavu is euclidian sequencer that creates triggers, i dont understand why merge and scale are there and i dont understand how to get each stage module to have its distinct carachter ie open envelope, or alot of attack or snappy. And in your patch different open, different alot of attack and different snappy.

Here’s one with a sound source.

17Guardrails (01_2f)_envelopes_only_for_Hirretr808_withSoundSource.vcv (5.3 KB)

Caudal modulates the envelope curves.

The merge/split modules merge/split mono/poly signals.

Follow the cabling.

Hello Fiddlecrab,

I fiddled around with the patch. I did not work with poly yet so I get lost in the merge/split cable things. I need to apply alot of brain energy which i did not have any to spare these last days unfortunately. It is on my to learn list to have life in the envelopes such as you did in this patch.

I will be back.

Here is a setup with long gate+envelope and short gate+envelope for the same vco. Did i patch it correctly or is it better to change something? I dont understand why the envelopes do not have built in gate lengths in them. Also i do not understand how to patch it with retrigger, so the gate/envelope retriggers if the gate is to long.

Are there swithces that can jump to a specific step with CV?

Yes, I think ML and Sickozell, probably more.

Hello Lars,

Would you please be so kind to comment on my solution with the trigger sequencer, did i patch the gate into envelope correctly?

Hello again,

Here I did tried to make a smaller version of yours. I patched noise > s&h > release

Here i try to patch so that when i have increased release, the volume should be decreased to balance percieved loudness, but i do not understand how to patch so I will save most of the volume, offset is at maximum and volume in second VCA is way low. Also when i invert the signal (so more release = less volume) then volume on right side VCA really plummets.:hole:
