Missing Modules?

My desktop installation of VCV Pro has 3,009 modules. Today I downloaded and installed everything on my laptop (in order to start working on a live performance thing) and found that only 2,993 modules are installed. I might have a couple that aren’t in the Library, but other non-Library plugins, such as Friedrichs Audio (he hasn’t answered my email – I own licenses but he’s not responding) are not in the desktop installation.

Is there any way to find out quickly what’s missing, or do I just have to plod through sixty or seventy plugins on both computers, noting the number of modules in each plugin?

You could look at the folders inside

plugins-win-x64

And copy over the ones that are missing ?

EDIT or just copy the whole plugins-win-x64 to the new one, might also solve the friedrichs problem.

Assuming your laptop and your desktop are the same CPU architecture.

Good suggestion. I’ll try copying the folder. That won’t help with the Friedrichs problem, though. I had a hard drive crash back in February and had to reinstall from scratch. He hasn’t replied to an email, so I’m sort of SOL on that one. I don’t know why he isn’t in the Library, something to do with licensing details, I guess.

Hi Jim,
if you got the Friedrichs Audio modules from gumroad,
you should be aible to log in to your acount and find them there to download again.
If you still have problems, please pm me.
